Flash fiction - 1000 words or less.
Short stories - 1001 to 7000 words.
I do not mind looking at longer stories if you have one you would like to submit, but I may want to publish
it over multiple issues if it is a lot longer than the 7000 word limit.

General
Guidelines
If you have a bio, webpage or places
where the readers can find more of your work I can include that as well.
I accept reprints.
I accept
simultaneous submissions, just let me know if it is accepted elsewhere before you here from me.
I accept submissions
from unpublished authors or artists.
I usually keep response times under a month so if you have not heard
from me by then send a query. I have an auto responder to let you know the email made it this far and I will respond to all
submissions I receive.
Currently there are no monetary payments offered for submissions, only exposure to the readers.
The main focus of Death Head Grin is horror but I open to submissions in other genres as well. As a general rule
I tend to avoid anything that could be considered romance unless there is something truly horrific about it besides the fact
that it is romance.
I do not mind if a story has violence, profanity, gore or sex in it as long as there is a
point to it.
Please no submissions with pointless violence or abuse directed towards children.
Please
no pornography of any kind.
Something that makes me laugh is always good.
No fan fiction.
Try to be original.
Proofread and use a grammer and spellchecker. That being said I expect typos or a slip with
punctuation here and there, but please at least try.
If you think it is good but nobody will accept it then
you can always try it here as well because I have accepted stories just like that and there is no harm in trying.
Rights
For works we publish we take First Electronic Publishing Rights
. If you try to get it published later in another market then it will be considered a reprint. Reprints have a smaller market
and the pay rate is reduced. For now all we can offer is exposure as payment because the budget is not big enough for
monetary payments. If exposure is an acceptable form of payment we would be glad to consider your work for the magazine.
